P1-4 are beginning a series of lessons on the importance of the Passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. Yesterday, we talked about very special meals that our family share. We then discussed how meals were very important at the time of Jesus (Jesus and Zaccheaus' meal, the feeding of the five thousand and the Last Supper). We talked about the tradition of washing guests feet before a meal. We read St Johns Gospel 13: 3-5, 12-17 and explored why Jesus washed the feet of the disciples.
