MoneySense Workshop with the Ulster Bank
Today, P.1 & 2 had a super Money Sense workshop! We learned that there are choices about what to do with money; that money can be spent, saved or donated, the difference between needs and wants and that families spend money in different ways.
We took part in 3 fun activities and Louise from the Ulster Bank came down to help us, she explained to us all about her job and how a bank works.
The boys and girls had lots of ideas of what to do with money! Have a read:
- Jude would put money in a moneybox to save for Legoland
- Gerard would put money in a piggy bank to save for a new toy
- Aimee would put it in the bank (sensible girl... maybe her teacher will listen!)
- Grace would buy some books
- Shay would give his money to the poor. (How sweet, Shay!)
The boys and girls have a greater understanding of needs and wants and gained so much from the session. Thanks so much to MoneySense (https://www.mymoneysense.com/) and to Louise from the Ulster Bank for both the informative session and the goodie bags for the children.
