Harvest Time at the Walled Gardens

Primary 1 and 2 have been learning all about Harvest time. Today we got the fantastic opportunity to harvest some Autumn fruits and vegetables with Jordan McWhirter, one of the Castle Gardeners. We saw pumpkins, apples, pears, raspberries and cucumbers. Such an interesting learning experience.

When we got back to school we made a class collage featuring all of the sights and smells we experienced. We also used the apples and pears we picked to do some stamp painting. Tomorrow we are going to make an apple crumble!
