Grandparents Day!

We had a lovely morning with our Grandparents this morning. We performed some songs with Mr Corr on the guitar, Maria on the piano and Orlaith, Isla, Kate, Eimear and Anna on the tin whistles. We also had two talented P.7 girls treat us to a jig and a reel. The Grandparents then had time with their grandchildren to paint a picture and look at their fabulous work. Unfortunately due to the weather some Grandparents could not make it so the children painted a lovely picture to take home to their loved one.

Grandparents Day is a lovely day but can also be a difficult time for those who have suffered a bereavement of a beloved Grandparent. But today those children got time to think of their Grandparent and make a piece of art recording the precious memories they cherish.
