Gardening with Gary!

Today P1-7 took part in some extremely fun gardening activities with Gary from Inver Garden Centre.

Gary has a wealth of knowledge about plants and flowers and we had a fantastic time learning from Gary. With Gary's help, P.1 & 2 planted a sensory bed- lavender and pineapple sage for scent, herbs to taste and some beautiful flowers to look at!

P.3/4 planted some potatoes, peas and some bright flowers for the area around the tree. P.3/4 also planted a butterfly plant for the local minibeasts.

P.5, 6 and 7 weeded the front bed, planted lots of lettuce plants and flowers in the freshly painted tyres. They also planted strawberry plants in the guttering.

Lots of hard but fun work! Thank you so much to Gary for bringing down these beautiful plants and showing us how to plant and look after fruits, vegetables and flowers!
